Poland’s 2026 B2B E-Invoicing Mandate

Is your company prepared for Poland’s mandatory B2B e-invoicing transition? Starting February 2026, large enterprises must issue electronic invoices exclusively—followed by a full nationwide rollout by April 2026. This guide breaks down everything you need to know about Poland's phased approach, from key compliance dates to actionable steps for a seamless transition.

Poland is implementing a new mandate for mandatory B2B e-invoicing. The system, KSeF, is a central platform for issuing, receiving, and storing electronic invoices, designed to enhance tax collection and digitalize Poland’s tax system.

Timeline:

  • 1st February 2026: Mandatory e-invoicing for enterprises with annual revenue exceeding 200 million PLN.
  • 1st April 2026: Mandatory B2B e-invoicing for all enterprises in Poland.
  • This initiative aligns with the EU ViDA’s plan to mandate the exchange and reporting of e-invoices by July 2030.

    2026: Mandatory B2B E-invoicing Poland

Poland’s new e-invoicing regulation will be implemented in two phases, but the requirements remain the same:

  • From 1st February 2026, the regulation applies to enterprises with annual revenue exceeding 200 million PLN.
  • From 1st April 2026, it applies to all enterprises in Poland.
  • Poland is mandating electronic invoicing for most domestic B2B transactions, requiring invoices to be issued and received through the KSeF platform. Each invoice will be assigned a unique identifier and must be in a structured XML format, making the data machine-readable and automatically processable.

    Present Regulations

Currently, only B2G transactions are mandated to use e-invoicing in Poland. B2B and B2C e-invoicing remain voluntary, allowing businesses time to adapt and prepare for the upcoming mandates.
