Slovakian 2025 E-Invoicing Mandate: Essential Guide to B2B and B2C Compliance
In Slovakia, ongoing developments are focused on the mandatory implementation of e-invoicing for both B2B and B2C transactions. The plan has experienced some delays, as it was initially targeted for 2024 but has now been pushed to 2025. The full implementation of the Slovakian Electronic Invoicing Information System (IS EFA) is also in progress.
The proposal envisages the mandatory issuance, exchange, and reporting of e-invoices, as well as mandatory reporting for cross-border invoices. Taxpayers will be required to report not only the invoices they issue but also those they receive.

Present Regulations
While B2B and B2C e-invoicing is expected to become mandatory in 2025, it remains voluntary for now, giving businesses time to adjust and prepare for the upcoming changes. Click here for a full Slovakian Invoicing Guide.
