Slovenia announced a new draft law, mandating e-invoicing for all B2B transaction from 2027 onward. The country doesn’t mandate real-time reporting in the new proposal.

The upcoming regulations effect only B2B transactions, B2C is not included. The first draft was supposed to become active in 2026, however on 11 February 2025 it was resubmitted, to postpone it to 1st January 2027.
Current Slovenian Regulations
Slovenia has been a pioneer in electronic invoicing, with B2G e-invoicing mandatory since 2015. Invoices can be submitted using either the national e-SLOG 2.0 format or UBL 2.1 (Peppol BIS 3.0), making it one of the most advanced countries in this area.
Starting July 1, 2025, Slovenia will take another step forward by introducing mandatory e-reporting. All VAT-registered businesses will be required to submit their VAT records to FURS (Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia) in a structured digital format.
