Timeline Of All Upcoming European B2B E-invoicing Regulations (2025 & Beyond)
E-invoicing isn’t just a trend—it’s becoming a legal requirement across Europe. The question is no longer if you’ll need to change, but when. And if you’re not ready in time, your business risks delays, penalties, and lost opportunities.
This blog gives you a clear, no-fluff overview of every upcoming European B2B e-invoicing mandate from 2025 onwards—so you can plan ahead, stay compliant, and turn regulation into opportunity.
Let’s break it down:
What Can We Expect From E-invoicing?
E-invoicing is going mandatory—globally. The only question is when.
Europe has already answered with the ViDA regulation, which mandates intra-community and domestic e-invoicing across all EU member states by 2030. Some countries have already enforced it, and many others are moving faster.
To streamline the process, on March 11, 2025, all EU Member States unanimously adopted the ViDA package. Previously, countries needed approval from the European Commission to introduce mandatory e-invoicing.
Now, they can implement it independently—without prior approval.
